A fairly popular college TV show GREEK is back with the second season and group NoTV was first to release an HDTV rip. TV show torrent distributors, EZTV, have recently posted a new British sitcom, “How Not to Live Your Life”, starting with the first three episodes.

Now, I know what you’re thinking.. yet another boring pom comedy. I must admit, I was never a fan of the British accent, and it was enough to stop me from watching shows from there for a long time. With the recent success of “Doctor Who (2005)”, I decided I would give this show a go, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. If you like JD’s fantasies in Scrubs, then you will most certainly laugh out loud at Don’s musings while he fumbles for the right thing to do in each situation.

In an interview, Vin Diesel revealed that the possibility of getting two sequels to Riddick is there. He said that David Twohy is already writing the script for the two movies and they are considering doing the Lord of The Rings route and filming both at the same time.

Of course, that’s a method of actually saving up on funds. The possibility of getting the sequels done had been quite low because TCoR was not well received and only made $115 million out of a $100 million budget. I love the two Riddick movies though and I really hope that the other two sequels will be made.

He now thinks there will be two.

“David Twowy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind,” he said of Riddick, the Furyan warrior first introduced in the 2000 film “Pitch Black.” “‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ was presented as a three part trilogy that would answer ‘Pitch Black’ in the same way that ‘Lord of the Rings’ answered ‘The Hobbit.’”

Those are lofty goals indeed for a movie that was very poorly received when it opened in 2004, and had a mediocre performance at the domestic box-office (where it made just $57 million). Diesel, though, is undaunted, insisting that the long space between sequels has nothing to do with convincing others to get on board, and everything to do with wanting to get it right. (To be fair, “Riddick” performed well overseas, and also spawned a best-selling video game which many considered to be better than the movie.)

“Everyone knows I love the Riddick character and I’m always working on it,” Diesel asserted. “It just takes five years to make another one because David Twohy and I are so precious about it.”

The movie opened almost a year ago in the United States and it was quite a success: $500.000 revenue on the opening weekend was surely more than enough to cover the filming costs. We are less than 7 days away from the start of US TV Fall season, but here we have a show that’s wrapping things up for the time being. Writers’ strike caused a bit of a mayhem so remainder of season 7 has been airing over the past 3 months. Like it or loathe it, this is a very good spin-off from the original LaO. Two thumbs way up go to FQM and CTU for releasing XviD and x264 versions respectively. Let’s hope that this will get renewed for Season 8 in not too distant future…
